At Dropbox, growth is a complex space driven by more than just upgrading a plan. Sharing and adding team licenses are intertwined in this space and drive revenue more than any other factor. With more than 500,000 teams globally using Dropbox for teams, there are myriad opportunities to convert free users to paid users on these surfaces.
Improvements to this flow resulted in user experience clarity for recipients and admins, revenue gains, relieved Dropbox help center and community support teams, and ameliorated user trust in the Dropbox brand.
